Make history with us.Position: Distribution Material HandlerPay: $24.75/hourSchedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with possible overtime. One scheduled day may be 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE Imagine working for a company that knows its people are the key to its success. As a Distribution Material Handler, you will play a vital role in maintaining warehouse operations by ensuring products and point-of-sale (POS) materials are accurately received, stored, picked, loaded, and distributed. Your commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork will help keep operations running efficiently and support outstanding service to customers.WHAT YOU WILL DO Load and unload palletized and non-palletized products and POS materials using manual and powered material handling equipment.Sort and place products and materials into designated warehouse locations.Accurately pick customer orders, build pallets, wrap shipments, and prepare orders for distribution.Label incoming and outgoing products with required identifying information.Verify quantities and condition of received products and materials.Utilize warehouse technology, including RF scanners and voice-picking equipment, according to operational guidelines.Operate material handling equipment to transport products throughout the warehouse.Prepare and organize warehouse areas for inventory counts and picking activities.Complete daily equipment inspection checklists and report defective equipment.Follow all safety, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures.Maintain clean work areas and keep aisles and exits clear of obstructions.Safely lift, carry, move, and store materials of varying sizes and weights.Report workplace injuries, property damage, and equipment concerns promptly.Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S principles (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).Perform other duties as assigned.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH Warehouse Operations TeamDistribution and Shipping PersonnelInventory Control Team MembersSupervisors and Warehouse LeadershipContinuous Improvement and Safety TeamsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE (MUST HAVE)High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment.Ability to accurately handle, move, and store products and materials.Experience safely operating or willingness to learn powered material handling equipment.Ability to use warehouse technology such as RF scanners and voice-picking systems.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds.Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE (NICE TO HAVE)Previous warehouse, distribution, or material handling experience.Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment.Experience with RF scanning devices, inventory systems, or voice-directed picking technology.Knowledge of warehouse inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.Experience participating in Continuous Improvement or 5S programs.Work Environment:This position regularly works around moving mechanical equipment and may occasionally be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, airborne particles, chemicals, and outdoor conditions.
