As a Cement Finisher with Findorff, you'll smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces by spreading, tooling, and applying curing treatments, ensuring a smooth and even appearance while also monitoring weather conditions to optimize the curing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pouring concrete into forms, spreading it evenly across the desired area, and leveling it to the correct grade.
  • Using hand tools and power trowels to smooth and finish the concrete surface, creating a desired texture.
  • Checking and adjusting concrete forms to ensure proper shape and alignment.
  • Applying curing compounds or surface treatments to protect the concrete during the curing process.
  • Patching imperfections and repairing minor defects in the concrete surface
  • Monitor how wind, heat, or cold will affect the curing process of the concrete
  • Signal truck drivers and position trucks for facilitating the concrete pours

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Hand-eye coordination for precise finishing techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret project specifications
  • Knowledge of different concrete mixes and their applications
  • Experience with various concrete finishing tools, including trowels, edgers, and power trowels
