Hours: Full-time

Heritage Manor is currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper in our skilled nursing facility. Candidate must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must enjoy working with the elderly. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.


RESPONSIBLITIES/DUTIES:

  • Thorough, accurate and complete performance of the duties of the assigned area.
  • Adherence to all facility and department policies and procedures associated with all job duties.
  • Good working knowledge of the facility disaster and infection control procedures.
  • Cooperate with all other staff members in caring for residents when necessary.
  • Ability to lift and move furniture and supplies as required by assigned area duties.
  • Tolerate standing and walking throughout the entire work shift.
  • Operate and utilize maintenance equipment.
  • Works as a team member, assist other employees with their duties as needed.
  • Agreeable to work non-scheduled hours/days when necessary.
  • Be able to cope effectively with confused, disruptive, and/or aggressive resident behavior.
  • Observe, understand, and know all articles of Heritage Manor's Bill of Rights for Residents.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Assistant Administrator.
  • Take inventory and mark residents' belongings with name or initials upon request from Assistant Administrator.
  • Perform deep cleaning of chairs, resident rooms, etc. when special occasions occur such as Passover.
  • Assist Laundry Department when needed.'
