WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Maintains personnel files for all Housekeeping team members; maintains up to date personnel contact information.
  • Processes timekeeping within payroll system.
  • Assists with departmental attendance tracking and point calculations.
  • Completes Housekeeping opening procedures including but not limited to preparing assignment sheets, checking for room discrepancies, issuing keys, communicating assignments, etc.
  • Coordinates with Front Desk to ensure custom comforts and other amenities are delivered to ViP guests.
  • Conducts interviews for all Housekeeping applicants.
  • Orders and maintains supplies as needed by preparing purchase requisitions.
  • Codes and forwards invoices to Hotel Manager.
  • Maintains the ability to fill in as a GRA, inspector, House Person, Laundry Attendant, or Wardrobe Attendant as needed.
  • Communicates with guests in a friendly manner and always remains upbeat and positive.
  • Completes special projects as directed.
  • Provides counseling and supports employees in meeting their responsibilities and becoming part of the team.
  • Monitors job performance daily, executes and issues notices of disciplinary action, and provides feedback.
  • Completes appraisals and ensures they are finished in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all employees follow hotel policies and procedures.
  • Expedites and oversees special requests from the Front Desk.
  • Attends management meetings; develops teams and employees.
  • Motivates employees to provide superior customer service to our guests.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to departmental and company policies.
  • Retains staff in line with departmental goals.
  • Responsible for providing exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests.

  • Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Individual must be highly motivated.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, team building, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to calmly handle stressful situations and be willing to work any day and any shift.
  • Must be able to perform the physical job duties of line employees in emergencies.
  • Must be able to maneuver in hotel areas, up and down stairs, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, tolerate chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion), and handle chemicals without developing without developing an allergic reaction.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing second-hand smoke.
  • Must be able to operate equipment, including: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, computer, copy machine, typewriter, mop, and broom.
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and work on hands and knees for long periods of time.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
