About The Position:

The Teller position plays a pivotal role in our commitment to elevating member value and fostering meaningful interactions and relationships. As a Teller, you will serve as the face of the credit union, providing exceptional member service and personalized financial solutions to our members. Primary responsibilities include conducting various financial transactions accurately and efficiently, promoting our comprehensive range of products and services, and building strong rapport with members through genuine engagement and proactive support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create a welcoming and positive environment for members by greeting them warmly, actively listening to their needs, and assisting in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Conduct various financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, ensuring that member accounts are handled with precision and attention to detail.
  • Balance cash drawers and maintain proper cash levels.
  • Educate members on various GNCU products and services and identify opportunities to cross sell products and services to meet member's financial needs.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures to safeguard member confidentiality and protect against fraud or unauthorized transactions, maintaining the integrity and security of the credit union's operations.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in a customer-facing environment (retail, hospitality, financial services, or similar)
  • 6+ months cash handling experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn systems
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
  • You may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Anything above 40 pounds requires a team lift.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $17.07 - 23.56 per hour
  • Compensation is dependent on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans, where we cover 90% of employee costs and about 75% of the costs for their dependents
