What is a live in handyman?

A Live In Handyman is a maintenance professional who resides on the property they service, providing repairs, upkeep, and general handyman tasks. Their responsibilities may include fixing plumbing or electrical issues, performing carpentry work, and maintaining the property's general condition. This role often includes compensation in the form of free or reduced-cost housing along with a salary. Employers may range from private homeowners to apartment complexes, hotels, or estates. The main benefit is having a skilled professional available on-site for immediate maintenance needs.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a live in handyman?

To excel as a Live In Handyman, you need strong skills in general maintenance, repairs, and building systems, often supported by experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or related trades. Familiarity with hand and power tools, property management software, and, in some cases, certifications like HVAC or OSHA safety training is beneficial.
