Resident Manager / Live-In Caregiver (Developmental Disabilities Adult Foster Home)

Compensation: $4,800ā$6,500/month + free room, utilities, and meals

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Resident Manager / Live-In Caregiver to oversee daily operations of our licensed DD Adult Foster Home while providing direct resident care.
This is a live-in leadership role combining caregiving, household oversight, staff support, medication administration, documentation, and compliance with Oregon DD licensing standards.
Coverage typically includes four 24-hour shifts per week. Private living accommodations are provided.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care
- Ā Assist residents with ADLs, including hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility, meals, feeding support, and medication administrationĀ
- Ā Support residents with emotional reassurance, behavior support, and crisis de-escalationĀ
- Ā Encourage independence, dignity, choice, and community participationĀ
- Ā Coordinate appointments, outings, and activitiesĀ
Home Operations & Leadership
- Ā Oversee day-to-day home operationsĀ
- Ā Supervise and support caregiving staffĀ
- Ā Help maintain staffing coverage and communicationĀ
- Ā Maintain a clean, safe, organized homeĀ
- Ā Oversee household supplies, meals, and general operationsĀ
- Ā Ensure documentation, medication records, and incident reports are completed accuratelyĀ
Compliance & Safety
- Ā Maintain compliance with Oregon DD Adult Foster Home regulationsĀ
- Ā Monitor resident health and report concerns promptlyĀ
- Ā Communicate with families, guardians, case managers, healthcare providers, and licensing representativesĀ
- Ā Implement behavior support plans, safety protocols, and emergency proceduresĀ
Qualifications
Required
- Ā Minimum 2 years caregiving experience, preferably in:Ā
- Ā Developmental disabilitiesĀ
- Ā Adult foster homesĀ
- Ā Group homesĀ
- Ā Behavioral support settingsĀ
- Ā Leadership or house management experience preferredĀ
- Ā Ability to pass Oregon background checkĀ
- Ā Valid driverās license and reliable transportationĀ
- Ā Ability to lift/assist up to 50 lbsĀ
- Ā Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skillsĀ
- Ā Calm, dependable, compassionate, and self-motivatedĀ
Required Training (or willingness to obtain)
- Ā Oregon DD Adult Foster Home required training/orientationĀ
- Ā CPR/First AidĀ
- Ā Medication AdministrationĀ
- Ā OIS or approved crisis intervention training (if required)Ā
- Ā Abuse reporting trainingĀ
- Ā DSP/core competency trainingĀ
- Ā Person-centered support trainingĀ
- Ā Food handler card (if applicable)Ā
