Resident Manager / Live-In Caregiver (Developmental Disabilities Adult Foster Home)

Compensation: $4,800–$6,500/month + free room, utilities, and meals

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Resident Manager / Live-In Caregiver to oversee daily operations of our licensed DD Adult Foster Home while providing direct resident care.
This is a live-in leadership role combining caregiving, household oversight, staff support, medication administration, documentation, and compliance with Oregon DD licensing standards.
Coverage typically includes four 24-hour shifts per week. Private living accommodations are provided.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care
- Â Assist residents with ADLs, including hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility, meals, feeding support, and medication administrationÂ
- Â Support residents with emotional reassurance, behavior support, and crisis de-escalationÂ
- Â Encourage independence, dignity, choice, and community participationÂ
- Â Coordinate appointments, outings, and activitiesÂ
Home Operations & Leadership
- Â Oversee day-to-day home operationsÂ
- Â Supervise and support caregiving staffÂ
- Â Help maintain staffing coverage and communicationÂ
- Â Maintain a clean, safe, organized homeÂ
- Â Oversee household supplies, meals, and general operationsÂ
- Â Ensure documentation, medication records, and incident reports are completed accuratelyÂ
Compliance & Safety
- Â Maintain compliance with Oregon DD Adult Foster Home regulationsÂ
- Â Monitor resident health and report concerns promptlyÂ
- Â Communicate with families, guardians, case managers, healthcare providers, and licensing representativesÂ
- Â Implement behavior support plans, safety protocols, and emergency proceduresÂ
Qualifications
Required
- Â Minimum 2 years caregiving experience, preferably in:Â
- Â Developmental disabilitiesÂ
- Â Adult foster homesÂ
- Â Group homesÂ
- Â Behavioral support settingsÂ
- Â Leadership or house management experience preferredÂ
- Â Ability to pass Oregon background checkÂ
-  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationÂ
- Â Ability to lift/assist up to 50 lbsÂ
- Â Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skillsÂ
- Â Calm, dependable, compassionate, and self-motivatedÂ
Required Training (or willingness to obtain)
- Â Oregon DD Adult Foster Home required training/orientationÂ
- Â CPR/First AidÂ
- Â Medication AdministrationÂ
- Â OIS or approved crisis intervention training (if required)Â
- Â Abuse reporting trainingÂ
- Â DSP/core competency trainingÂ
- Â Person-centered support trainingÂ
- Â Food handler card (if applicable)Â
