Job description

We're looking for a GIS/CAD Technician to join our Land Development team at our Oklahoma City location (in office). This individual will support and assist our engineers, designers, and planners on a wide range of GIS projects, land development entitlements, and site-civil design projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Use ArcGIS software to produce maps, edit geospatial data, and perform spatial analysis including online mapping applications.
  • Assist in GIS data processing and integrating field data into the GIS and CAD formats.
  • Aid in the production of preliminary and final plats, and various land entitlement exhibits using CAD software.
  • UAS aerial surveying (drone) data processing.
  • Interpret legal documents from abstract title binders including legal descriptions.
  • Assist in civil design plan production.
  • Maintain quality data management, electronic file organization, and data integrity, including metadata.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in GIS or similar with coursework in GIS, CAD drafting, surveying, geography, and mathematics.
  • GIS Certification is desired but not required.
  • Proficient at using ESRI ArcGIS Pro product suite.
  • Proficient at using AutoCAD Civil 3D for the creation of plats, maps, and exhibits.
  • Experience using GPS and knowledge of data acquisition and processing.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients and vendors.
  • Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.
