Location: Waukesha, WI
Shift: 3rd

About the Role

Prolec GE Waukesha is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and support our production team in the heavy manufacturing of large Power Transformers. As our Manufacturing Supervisor, you will oversee a team of 25–30 production employees and ensure daily operations run safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production schedules. You will provide day-to-day guidance, interpret technical specifications, support continuous improvement activities, and help maintain a Zero Harm safety culture across the shop floor. You will also lead the development of core skills within your team and ensure appropriate training is provided.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities, assigning work, optimizing workflows, and resolving complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Review and interpret assembly drawings, prints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Establish and maintain workmanship standards; investigate and correct processes that fall out of conformance.
  • Support annual budgeting, labor forecasting, and monthly performance-to-budget reviews.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure compliance and optimize processes and layouts.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate production employees; recommend wage adjustments and promotions as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Support adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement and partner with HR on disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure workplace organization, safety, and housekeeping standards are consistently met.
  • Provide leadership presence on the production floor to ensure schedule adherence and resolve issues as they arise.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Equivalent years of leadership experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, solve production problems, and support multiple processes across a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a union environment is highly preferred.
