JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications, this position will support the development and implementation of software solutions for the program. The role will contribute to software design, Java-based software development, testing support, issue resolution, and agile execution activities. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Generate software design artifacts in support of the program. * Implement Java-based software changes. * Support design reviews and code reviews. * Support software testing activities and resolution of issues identified during testing. * Present developed designs to stakeholders as required. * Participate in agile planning and execution using established program processes. * Work with Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment, and Warfighter Support teams to help ensure mission success. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Generally has 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline. * Experience with full life-cycle software development. * Java application development experience or alternate object-oriented development experience. * Experience working in Unix/Linux environments. * Experience implementing mathematical algorithms in software. * Basic experience in the design and development of complex mathematical algorithms. * Experience with problem-solving, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently in a highly dynamic environment. * Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
