Job description

Position Overview

The Center for Healing and Growth, located in Jacksonville, Florida, is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our remote team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide critical support to our detox center's clients as they undergo transformative healing processes. We value experienced professionals who are compassionate and committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing significant challenges.

About the Organization

The Center for Healing and Growth is a premier detox facility that is dedicated to promoting recovery and well-being for our clients. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive environment where individuals can embark on their recovery journey. We understand the complexities involved in detoxification and are committed to delivering exceptional care that addresses the emotional and psychological needs of our clients. Our team consists of diverse healthcare professionals working collaboratively to ensure holistic support and nurturing care.

Work Environment

This position allows for a full-time remote work setting, ensuring flexibility for our employees while maintaining a strong focus on client care. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, although occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary to meet client needs. As the position requires on-call availability, you must be prepared to respond to urgent situations that arise outside standard hours. This flexibility not only supports our clients but also enriches your experience in providing impactful care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify each client's emotional, mental, and social needs, contributing to informed and personalized care solutions.
  • Develop collaborative care plans with clients and their families that outline clear goals and preferences, accommodating specific circumstances unique to detox and recovery.
  • Provide counseling services designed to facilitate emotional processing and coping strategies for individuals and families navigating recovery challenges.
  • Act as an advocate for your clients, linking them to vital community resources and support services, and ensuring they have access to proper care during and after detox.
  • Work in partnership with multidisciplinary teamsโ€”consisting of nurses, psychologists, and medical staffโ€”to coordinate comprehensive, client-centered care.
  • Conduct regular follow-up assessments to monitor client progress and adjust care plans accordingly, ensuring their well-being and safety at home.
  • Facilitate constructive communication among family members involved in care, aiming to resolve conflicts and enhance familial support dynamics.
  • Educate clients and families about available community resources, enhancing their network support in recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous records in accordance with ethical standards, documenting assessments, progress notes, and any interactions that inform client care.
  • Continuously update your knowledge on relevant social work practices and policies to ensure compliance and optimal care outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on supporting individuals undergoing detoxification, a often vulnerable stage in the recovery process. By working with varied client demographics, including those with both substance use and underlying mental health issues, you will play a critical role in enhancing clientsโ€™ emotional resilience and encouraging healthy coping mechanisms.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required; however, a Masterโ€™s degree is preferred.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a Social Worker, particularly in detox or mental health settings, is necessary.
  • Diverse knowledge of psychosocial principles and issues faced by individuals in recovery is essential.
  • Strong assessment and counseling skills, especially the ability to handle sensitive dialogues with empathy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to promote effective collaboration with team members and clients alike.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies necessary for documentation and client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in detox or substance abuse recovery environments.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Background in geriatric social work or experience with aging populations is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package, including comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a retirement savings plan with employer matching, generous paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, professional liability insurance, and continuous education opportunities to support your growth and development.

You'll have access to ongoing education and training initiatives, as well as mentorship programs. We believe in promoting from within and offer various pathways for career advancement within our organization, allowing you to grow your expertise in areas of interest.
