Job description

SQL Database Analyst

The SQL Database analyst role helps design, develop and maintain useful, reliable and secure business process workflows. The role works in tandem with other developers and the Operations group focusing on enhancing and creating new and better workflows. The position also works in direct relationship with the System Administrator as well as Project Managers, IT and Outside vendors to maintain, troubleshoot and support existing infrastructure in order to guarantee continuous access to Department information. Specific duties include development of new automated solutions, maintaining and creating documentation, working as part of a team to solve issues with both proprietary and licensed systems and interacting with outside support and other internal IT resources.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain automated processes using technical and programming tools
  • Design, document, and implement new process workflows
  • Interact with SQL Databases to be able to feed other systems, generate reports as well as to provide application support to SQL-based systems
  • Automated processes with Powershell
  • Provide escalated application support as necessary for various department software
  • Maintain proper documentation regarding new and existing Department processes
  • Periodically help with the installation and upgrade of department systems after hours
  • Availability to respond to afterhours requests, alerts and emergencies as needed
  • Ability to quickly learn backend and user facing systems
  • Interact with several members of the IT department and vendors in dealing with Litigation and Practice Support operational issues and troubleshooting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • SQL Server skills and technical knowledge regarding relational databases
Preferred Experience
  • PowerShell Knowledge
  • Experience with Workflow-design tools such as BP Logix or Visio
  • Data analysis and reporting skills in SQL, Excel, Access, etc.
