Job description

1. Knowledgeable of, and compliance with, all safety regulations, including inspections, related to the operations of concrete pumps including DOT, OSHA and ACPA's safety standards.

Must have a valid CDL driver license and current DOT physical.
3. Comply with use of company specified personal protective equipment and attend safety meetings as required.

Responsible for directing craft persons.
5. Ensure the safety of crews and other project employees while operating truck or line pumps.

Ensure vehicle is in compliance with DOT standards.
7. Operating truck-mounted concrete boom pumps and related equipment/tools including, but not limited to, line pumps.

Ability to evaluate site conditions and setting up concrete pump trucks appropriately including, but not limited to, rigging up pump truck, setting outriggers, extending, and operating boom while pumping concrete to the work area.
9. Connect hose and pipelines to the pump to transport the concrete to the placement area.
10. Responsible for overseeing the placement of the concrete according to the project plans.

Load, unload, clean and maintain concrete pumps and attachments in a safe and efficient manner.
12. Understands the basics of concrete placement and the properties of concrete, the effects of hot and cold conditions on them, and mixing the concrete according to specifications for strength and consistency.
13. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of concrete pumps in accordance with regulations and standards.

Able to perform both preventative and general maintenance on concrete pumps and equipment.
15. Pump concrete with precision and accuracy. Observe the concrete being poured to ensure it is delivered to the desired location.

Must be able to read and understand construction plans and blueprints.
17. Understands the basics of concrete placement and the properties of concrete
18. Knowledge of operating the controls of a concrete mixer.

Cleaning the drum at the end of each job to ensure that no concrete remains.
20. Making adjustments as necessary to keep the concrete pump in good operation condition.

22. The ability to safely lift 50 pounds, stand or extended periods of time, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop and kneel. Must be able to work in a variety of positions, including at heights and in confined spaces.

Ability to work in all types of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
