Job Summary

Assists Gamma Phi Circus Executive Director with planning and oversight of week-long circus camp for youth ages 3-7 years old. Provides direction and supervision to Gamma Phi Circus student camp counselors. Provides instruction to camp participants in circus skills development, safety, and performance. Interacts with camp parents and guardians. Maintains camper check-in/check-out logs, waivers, emergency contacts, and other camper paperwork required for participation in camp.

Additional Information

Benefits include time away from work for eligible employees and the option to participate in the University's 403(b) Plan.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$25.00 per hour

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree
2. Minimum of five (5) years of coaching and spotting experience in the circus arts, gymnastics, or other closely related performance arts
3. Previous experience working the Gamma Phi Circus summer camp
4. Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified

Work Hours

Between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm, Monday through Friday

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at workstation for extended periods.
2. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
3. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.

Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment and are paid for hours worked only. Extra Help employment does not guarantee permanent placement. Extra Help employees may only work up to 900 total hours.
