POSITION SUMMARY: The Inpatient Registered Dietitian plans, coordinates and participates in the nutritional care process of the in-patient population, assuring that quality nutritional care is provided. The Registered Dietitian will coordinate with food service staff, nursing and medical staff in an effort to ensure a clear understanding of patient needs is achieved and that diet-related physician orders are followed. This position will cover for the outpatient dietitian as needed. This position will participate in quality improvement programs concerning clinical services. This position will participate in the Joint Commission process, yearly reviewing standards and scoring guidelines with the Chief Nursing Officer.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition.
  • Successful completion of dietetic internship;
  • American Dietetic Association Registration required.
  • Alaska licensure required at time of hire.
  • A minimum of one year work-related experience. Preferred.
