Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the South End of Guelph. This is a regular Monday-Friday day shift, with flexible start time. This role is a temporary assignment last a few months. Duties Responsibilities: - Operate laser engraving equipment and related software to produce memorial plaques and customized items. - Prepare digital artwork files for engraving using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDRAW. - Perform image editing, layout adjustments, and design corrections to ensure accuracy and quality. -Demonstrate strong awareness of different materials (metal, wood, acrylic, etc.) and how they respond to laser processing. - Conduct detailed quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards. - Monitor laser equipment during operation, make adjustments as needed, and submit maintenance requests when required. - Follow all safety and compliance procedures, including OSHA guidelines, to maintain a safe working environment. - Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping duties around the production and engraving workspace. - Support the operations team with additional tasks as assigned, focusing on technical production and memorial item preparation.
