Job description

OKC Construction Superintendent 
Cowen Construction, a fourth-generation Oklahoma Construction Company established in 1896, is recruiting for a limited number of qualified Construction Superintendents. 
The Superintendent’s primary objective is to work with their assigned Building Team in communicating at the highest level with clients, architects, engineers, design partners, subcontractors, trades, and internal staff. The Superintendent participates in overseeing job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the subcontractors and constructability issues. Project types include commercial mid-rise, industrial, retail, mixed-use, medical, hospitality, and multi-family. This role is responsible for delivering high levels of quality and safety, and contributions to the construction team to proactively address problems and improve the overall quality of work performed.  
 
Major Duties & Responsibilities 
• Manages commercial project sites ensuring non-compromise quality, schedule management, safety, and budget control.  
• Oversees and inspects work in place and as performed against designs, plans, specifications, subcontracts/scopes, shop drawings, and overall craftsmanship.   
• Documents and manages jobsite details, reports on daily progress, toolbox talks, weekly foreman's meetings, develops two-week look ahead plans, and manages the project schedule. 
• As applicable, the ability to manage multiple projects at various locations concurrently.  
• Manages and sets client expectations and professionally addresses concerns or issue escalation.
