Job description

The Impact a Building Services Worker with the Operations Team can make:

The Building Service Worker ensures that buildings are cleaned daily, utilizing daily cleaning lists. The building Service Worker responds to emergency clean-ups as necessary and maintains the janitorial log at the end of each shift.

How you will contribute:

  • Complete Daily Scheduled Cleaning List (includes weekly tasks)
  • Maintain Janitorial Log at end of every shift
  • Prepare weekly order form for new cleaning supplies.
  • Advise Building Services Manager of any building maintenance required
  • Set up for special events (e.g. All Team Meetings)
  • Work with vendors as directed
  • Move/assemble furniture as required
  • Repair/ paint vacated rooms as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

The successful candidate can expect a starting hourly rate of between $18.25 and $21.86 depending on factors such as internal equity, experience, competencies, and education. Once hired, the hourly rates are reviewed annually following the annual performance review and successful employees have the opportunity for their hourly rate to increase, over time, up to the maximum of the pay band, currently $26.42.
