Job Details

The Building Manager is the primary point of contact for building-related issues and emergencies. As a Building Manager, you'll serve the Strata Council and the Property Manager to help maintain the organization and security of the building.

Shift Available:

  • Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs (lighting, painting, drywall, power washing, snow/ice removal).
  • Support the property manager with notices, letters, and rule enforcement.
  • Provide professional assistance to tenants and coordinate contractor work on site.
  • Handle admin tasks such as emails, amenity bookings, supply management, and incident reporting.
  • Inspect the building regularly for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs.
  • Manage security systems, including fobs, enter-phone codes, cameras, and fire panels.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment (e.g., generators, fire alarms).
  • Monitor parking and assist with move-ins/move-outs.
  • Support emergency response and first responders as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in building management or a related role.
  • Hands-on skills in general maintenance (painting, cleaning, repairs, pressure washing).
  • Experience coordinating trades and contractors.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
  • Good judgment in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and internet tools.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act is an asset.
