In this role, you will perform routine maintenance, conduct regular inspections, and help develop preventative solutions that extend the lifespan of equipment while reducing safety risks. Responsibilities
• Must be reachable via a company-provided emergency cell phone after hours to respond to emergencies involving life safety, property damage, or common areas, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance issues such as sewer backups, water intrusion, and related incidents.
• Coordinate and ensure proper cleanup, including working with outside vendors when necessary.
• Perform general building operation and maintenance duties, including drywall repair, painting, routine property and building inspections, boiler checks, sprinkler room inspections, fire panel checks, filter and light bulb replacement, and minor plumbing-related repairs.
• Install portable A/C units, pick up supplies, use ladders, and access rooftops for minor repairs.
• Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risks
• Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
• Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made
• Ensure all equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring are in working order by conducting routine maintenance and handle any repairs, if needed
• Manage other maintenance requests as required
Qualifications
• Work requires sufficient physical ability to perform building maintenance tasks, including bending, climbing, and lifting.
• Adherence to all applicable safety standards is essential to successfully perform the duties of the position.
• Superb attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills
• Has high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures
