Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity to learn from some of the most esteemed attorneys and grow your career? Our law firm is looking for the next associate attorney to assist in providing legal counsel to our clients. You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. If you have h at least 3 years of experience, have excellent fact-finding and communication skills, and are ready to jump-start your career in the legal industry, we want to hear from you!


This is not a back-room research position. We are looking for someone comfortable taking ownership of files, communicating with clients, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.

Compensation:

$102,000- $120,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
  • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
  • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
  • Candidates must have passed the bar exam
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
  • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
  • Prepared to learn and/or share knowledge and experience to meet client needs and grow client base
  • Licensed and in good standing in Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation and transactional work
  • Experience in business and/or real estate law required
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage matters and deadlines
  • Professional demeanor and strong client-relations skills
  • Motivated, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset
