Job description

The Assisted Living Manager provides direct supervision of department managers in Assisted
Living and its associated departments. They work with the outside community, ensuring that the
community is a positive choice for seniors in the area. The Assisted Living Director coordinates
all departments to promote outstanding community operations in alignment with goals, budget
guidelines, and resident needs; assumes responsibilities of the Executive Director (ED) in his or
her absence; and supervises operations to conform to regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilites:
• Supervise department heads to ensure the community is operating according to standards and in
compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Implement department budget and approve or deny expenditures based on the allocations set by the
ED.
• Work within the community to place residents in need of a higher level of care.
• Market the community to prospective placements. Schedule and plan all community outreach
projects.
• Coordinate move-ins with other department heads.
• Assume full responsibility for all regulatory guidelines, forms, and documentation for residents
and employees; ensure that administrative operation is up to date and complete at all times;
secures all admission paperwork prior to move-in.
• Organize resident and family council meetings, as well as individual family
conferences.
• Prepare all licensing requests for exceptions, waivers, and exemptions for ED's review and
signature.
• Oversees staffing to ensure appropriate resident care.
• Oversees employee life cycle, including pre-hire screenings, onboarding, performance management,
and maintaining a positive employee experience.
• Investigate complaints, document findings, and review with ED; reports to regulatory agencies,
where applicable.
• Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions that
assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and
visitors.
• Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
• Compassion for and desire to work with seniors!
• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare management, or related field.

Must be currently licensed and maintain state requirements for relevant licensures or
certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license, where
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Preference for college degree in Marketing, Social Services, Business, Human Development, or
Healthcare related fields.
