About the Role:
Join our team as a Medical Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing patient care and supporting our dedicated medical team. We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to help us provide exceptional service in our Fort Pierce, FL clinic.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Athena (EHR) system.
  • Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and care on injection days.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of their care plan
  • Support physicians during procedures including medication administration, fluoroscopy preparation when necessary
  • Conduct clinical tasks related to interventional spine and joint injections as well as many advanced procedures like spinal cord stimulation trials.
  • Manage medical supplies inventory and assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection or basic testing in outpatient settings.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in outpatient clinics, or specialty areas like neurology or pain medicine
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and documentation
  • Experience with EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient data management, uploading or opening Imaging data from portals, Patient PDMP access and interest in pain medication.
  • Ability to perform clinical procedures including medication administration and vital signs collection
  • Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations that struggle with Pain and sometime Anxiety and Depression.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a pain team seeing approximately 20-30 patients per day.
Hours of work are 7:30am -5:15pm Monday to Friday.
This is not a Per Diem Job. Applicant must live in Port St. Lucie or Fort Pierce (within 20 minutes of the office location)
