Job description

Pediatric Pulmonologist

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift: Monday to Friday, Daytime, 8 AM - 5 PM

Our organization is recognized as Arizona's leading children's hospital and serves as a key regional center in the Southwest. With 533 licensed beds and over 1,200 affiliated and employed physicians, we are on the verge of becoming one of the largest pediatric health systems in the nation. Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Services

  • Deliver patient care services within the scope of clinical privileges, including but not limited to:
    • Direct patient care for both inpatient and outpatient settings
    • Subspecialty consultations and follow-up care
    • Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
    • Urgent and emergent care services as required
  • Aim to provide exceptional patient and family-centered care
  • Contribute to the hospital's patient satisfaction objectives and specific division targets
  • Adhere to divisional standards for patient safety and quality of care
  • Utilize contemporary evidence-based medicine or the latest experiential practices

Divisional Responsibilities

  • Work towards achieving annual goals and objectives for physicians (individual, division, hospital)
  • Support the medical education initiatives within the division, including:
    • Supervising trainees and allied health professionals in delivering inpatient and outpatient services when applicable
    • Conducting teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences for trainees
    • Participating in the education and supervision of trainees and allied health professionals assigned to the division
    • Engaging in postgraduate continuing education activities for the division
  • Assist with the division's research projects and initiatives led by other team members
  • Promote the programmatic growth of the division
  • Support satellite initiatives of the division when appropriate
