Professional Housekeeper 
Mercer Island, Washington

A private family in Mercer Island, Washington is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain and organize their two-story home. The household is friendly and active, with one parent working from home and one school-aged child living in the home full-time.

The family is looking for someone who is warm, positive, and pleasant, while also understanding the importance of maintaining a professional presence during the workday. The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable, but not overly social or disruptive, and will be comfortable working independently with minimal interruption to the household.

This position is best suited for someone who is experienced, self-directed, and able to take initiative once they understand how the home is run. After an initial orientation and review of household preferences, the Housekeeper should be able to recognize what needs attention, maintain the family’s standards, and keep the home running smoothly without needing constant direction.

Position Details

Location: Mercer Island, Washington 
Start Date: August 2026 
Schedule: Full Time  
Total Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week 
Pets: Dog in the home 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the home

Cleaning and organizing the kitchen, bedrooms, laundry areas, pool area, and other designated household spaces

Laundry, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and putting items away

Changing bed linens and maintaining bedrooms as directed

Keeping household spaces tidy, orderly, and well-maintained

Noticing areas that need attention and taking initiative to address them

Following household systems and preferences after proper orientation

Handling household items carefully and respectfully

Maintaining a professional, low-disruption presence while working in the home

No cooking or grocery shopping is required for this position.
