Summary
The Event Concessions Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for concession operations at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other live entertainment events. This position supports all phases of food service operations including food preparation, cooking, stocking, sanitation, kitchen setup, and breakdown. The Event Concessions Cook maintains compliance with food safety standards, delivers quality food products in a high-volume environment, and contributes to an exceptional guest experience while supporting the operational goals of PSQ Productions.
Essential Job Functions
  • Cook menu items and prep ingredients according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
  • Label, date, and store prepped items following FIFO and HACCP guidelines.
  • Set up and stock kitchen equipment, grills, ovens, and storage areas before and during events.
  • Follow health department rules, keep floors and counters clean, and practice proper food rotation.
  • Assist with event set-up, dishes, and breakdown, and maintain a clean and sanitized work space in accordance with company specifications.
  • Work quickly under pressure and support other kitchen staff during peak concert rushes.
  • Maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
  • Ensure proper storage of food products.
  • Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor and as business dictates.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid local Health Department Food Handler Certificate or ServSafe.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years working in a fast-paced restaurant, banquet, or entertainment venue kitchen.
  • Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays tied to the concert calendar.

Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items and food bins weighing up to 50 lbs independently; items weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions associated with food preparation.
  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, open flame, hot surfaces, cold storage, wet or slippery floors, and elevated noise levels.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts in accordance with the event calendar.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
