What is a live dealer?

A Live Dealer is a professional who hosts and facilitates casino games, such as blackjack, roulette, or baccarat, in real time for online gaming platforms. Using live-streaming technology, they interact with players through video, dealing cards or spinning wheels just like in a physical casino. Live Dealers ensure the game runs smoothly, answer player questions, and help create an authentic and engaging casino experience online. They must be knowledgeable about the rules of each game and possess excellent communication skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a live dealer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Live Dealer, you need a strong understanding of casino games, quick mathematical skills, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with live streaming technology, casino management systems, and dealing equipment is essential. Excellent communication, presentation abilities, and a customer-focused attitude help create an engaging and professional gaming experience. These skills ensure fair play, player satisfaction, and smooth operation in a fast-paced, interactive environment.

What does a typical shift look like for a live dealer, and how does the role interact with players and team members?

A typical shift for a Live Dealer involves hosting live-streamed casino games, such as blackjack or roulette, in a studio environment. Dealers are responsible for managing the game, engaging with online players through live chat, and ensuring all procedures follow gaming regulations. The role requires quick thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor on camera. Live Dealers often work closely with floor supervisors, pit bosses, and technical support staff to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise during gameplay.
