Work Environment

This is a full-time position that will be conducted remotely. You will be part of a cohesive outpatient team that values collaboration, shared knowledge, and mutual support among professionals. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing therapeutic services including individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to address various mental health issues.
  • Conducting thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to inform individual treatment plans.
  • Creating personalized treatment plans that reflect client goals and progress, and adjusting these plans as necessary in response to client feedback and clinical judgment.
  • Engaging collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to share insights and contribute to a comprehensive treatment approach that enhances overall patient outcomes.
  • Documenting all therapeutic interactions and client progress in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
  • Utilizing data management and electronic health record (EHR) systems to track client progress and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is to work closely with individuals coping with substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and your dedication to understanding their unique cultural and social contexts will be vital to their recovery journey. Sensitivity to the needs of racially and culturally diverse populations is paramount in creating an inclusive space for healing.

Qualifications
  • Education: A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • License: A current, valid license in good standing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PsyD) is essential. Candidates must not be under suspension or probation.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working in outpatient settings focused on substance abuse and mental health issues is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health records will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
