Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Carmel office. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, comfortable taking ownership of their work, embraces usage of AI software platforms, and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. At least 5+ years litigation experience is important; personal injury and/or medical malpractice experience is strongly preferred but not required.


Wagner Reese is a boutique personal injury law firm with a 26-year track record of success. Our team works collaboratively on meaningful litigation matters, and we place a strong emphasis on organization, responsiveness, and client service. We also actively incorporate modern cutting-edge legal technology and AI-assisted tools into our workflows to improve efficiency, case management, and work product.


This is a full-time, in-office position in our Carmel office, Monday through Friday.


Salary Range: $60,000โ€“$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.


What Youโ€™ll Do

ยท Assist attorneys with litigation matters from case development through settlement, resolution, or trial.


ยท Take ownership of assigned case-management responsibilities and help ensure matters continue moving forward.


ยท Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.


Use available technology and AI-assisted tools appropriately to improve efficiency, organization, and work product.


ยท Manage discovery requests and responses and assist with document production.


ยท Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other case-related documentation.


ยท Assist with preparation of settlement demands, mediation materials, exhibits, and trial materials.


ยท Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, experts, witnesses, and other litigation activities.


ยท Track court deadlines, discovery deadlines, appointments, and other important case dates.


ยท Maintain organized and accurate electronic case files and litigation records.


ยท Communicate professionally and responsively with clients, attorneys, experts, courts, insurance representatives, and other parties.


ยท Collaborate with attorneys and other members of the legal team to achieve strong outcomes for our clients.


What You Bring

ยท Prior litigation paralegal or comparable legal experience.


ยท Working knowledge of litigation procedures and court processes.


ยท Strong written and verbal communication skills.


ยท Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


ยท Experience using AI tools to support drafting, document review, research, organization, case management, or other legal workflows is strongly preferred.


ยท Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple matters simultaneously.


ยท Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and follow matters through to completion.


ยท A collaborative, team-first mindset.


ยท Strong computer skills and comfort learning and using legal technology and case-management systems.


ยท Experience with Neos or similar case-management software is a plus.


ยท Personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation experience is a plus but is not required.
