Job description

Key Responsibilities

· Manage accounting compliance with the Courts and United States Trustee's Office (monthly operating reports, plan and disclosure projection drafting and support, preparing bankruptcy schedules and statements of financial affairs, post-confirmation reports, managing distributions, updating budgets to actuals, etc)

· Manage calls with the fiduciaries (chapter 7 or 11 trustees, Chief Restructuring Officers, principals of Debtors, etc.) and other professionals involved in cases

· Manage takeover of businesses for fiduciaries if needed (possession and safekeeping of records, shut down of facilities, ongoing operations, shut down of operations, forensic preservation of records, forensic investigations, etc)

· Lead forensic accounting and litigation support engagements, from planning to deliverable.

· Oversee and review financial analyses, tracing, and damage calculations.

· Supervise and mentor staff accountants and senior staff, ensuring technical accuracy and professional growth.

· Prepare, review, and present expert report schedules and exhibits for partner and attorney review.

· Communicate directly with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders in litigation and bankruptcy matters.

· Support business valuations, bankruptcy analyses, and other consulting projects as needed.

· Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, process improvements, and staff development.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· 5–8 years of progressive experience in forensic accounting, litigation support, or public accounting.

· Strong working knowledge of financial statements, accounting systems, and investigative procedures.

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, CoPilot, and Word; QuickBooks experience preferred.

· Exceptional writing and analytical skills with attention to detail.

· Demonstrated leadership ability, professionalism, and dependability.

· Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

· Prior experience in bankruptcy, receivership, or restructuring matters.

· CFF, CFE, CIRA, or other forensic credentials (or willingness to obtain).

· Experience in managing staff and client relationships within a professional services firm.
