I am partnering with a boutique civil litigation firm in downtown Seattle seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who enjoys handling cases from inception through resolution and wants meaningful responsibility in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Our practice offers sophisticated litigation work, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to appear regularly in court while working alongside experienced trial attorneys.

What You'll Do

As a Civil Litigation Associate, you will manage a broad range of litigation matters and play an active role throughout every phase of the litigation process. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing case strategy and advising clients on legal options
  • Conducting legal research and factual investigations
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings
  • Managing written discovery and discovery disputes
  • Taking and defending depositions of parties, experts, and third-party witnesses
  • Preparing for and arguing motions and hearings
  • Participating in mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Assisting with trials and evidentiary proceedings
  • Guiding clients through settlement agreements and case resolution

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Strong motion practice and legal writing skills
  • Experience handling matters through multiple stages of litigation
  • Deposition experience, including witness preparation and examination
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • A proactive, client-focused approach
  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar (or ability to become licensed promptly)
