Job Details

We are seeking a litigation associate to join our business litigation team. In this role, we handle a broad range of complex commercial disputes, working across all phases of litigation from initial assessment through resolution. Associates in this group take on meaningful responsibility early, with regular involvement in case strategy, motion practice, and client interaction. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney looking to deepen their experience in sophisticated disputes while working as part of a collaborative, teamโ€‘oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and support a range of business litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motion papers
  • Participate in discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions
  • Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including drafting outlines and preparing exhibits
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client advisement
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel as appropriate
Qualifications
  • Experience handling business or commercial litigation matters
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with procedural rules and practice in court proceedings
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
  • Interest in developing litigation strategy and gaining increased responsibility
Requirements
  • 3โ€“6 years of relevant litigation experience
  • Admission to Connecticut state bar, or eligibility to waive in
  • Experience with motion practice, discovery, and court procedures
  • Prior experience in a law firm or comparable legal environment
  • Judicial clerkship or law review experience is a plus but not required
