Legal Assistant / Office Manager – Litigation Law Office

A local company with a facility in the Royal Oak, MI area is currently seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Office Manager for Long-term opportunities with their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for Legal Assistants/Office Managers looking for a company that offers competitive rates, excellent management, and a strong office culture.

Legal Assistant / Office Manager rates are anticipated to be $30-$40/hour plus additional bonus opportunity based on each candidates experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.

Qualified Legal Assistant / Office Managers will have most, if not all of the following skills and experience:

·         2+ years of recent/relevant experience in a legal setting, preferably with a firm who specializes or works with litigation.

·         2+ years of experience with court filings, document formatting, and case management.

·         Proficiency with calendar management and scheduling – Hearings, depositions, etc.

·         Experience / familiarity working with the Federal Court system

·         External filings – Motions briefs, mailings

·         Experience using Case Management & Electronic case filing software (Cleo, Eve, Pacer all in use)

·         Paralegal Certficiation is preferred, but not required

·         Comfortable handling Office Manager responsibilities, ie: administrative tasks, ordering supplies, tracking vendors, licensing, and expiration dates.
