Job description

A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of litigation experience to join its growing practice. This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to all phases of litigation, significant client interaction, and the chance to work alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated civil and commercial disputes.


Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution under attorney supervision.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
  • Participate in depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Assist with case strategy, witness preparation, and trial preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
  • Review and analyze records, contracts, and other case-related documents.
  • Support trial teams through hearings, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing in the applicable state bar.
  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
