Nightlife Floor Manager - Bar Lis

Job Summary:Nightlife managers have a strong floor presence at the rooftop nightlife concept at The Hollywood Grande, Bar Lis. This is a full-time position responsible for assisting the Assistant General Manager - Bar Lis and Director of Food & Beverage with managing all aspects of late-night operations, including recruiting, training, payroll, and handling guest relations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and upholds professional appearance standards as directed in our Team Member Handbook.
  • Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
  • Leads the team by example with respect and professionalism.
  • Anticipates and accommodates the needs of the guests.
  • Manages all aspects of the operations, including payroll, scheduling, inventory, training, etc.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of Bar Lis employees to ensure that the venue is running efficiently and profitably.
  • Participates in interviewing, hiring, and training new applicants and employee development of all subordinates.
  • Addresses and resolves guest and employee concerns.
  • Responsible for reconciling end-of-shift financials.
  • Ability to perform the job duties of all supervised employees.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
  • Ensures that the venue is compliant with all federal, state and local laws and regulations; and company policies.
  • Ensures Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Ensures the completion of all opening and closing procedures by FOH employees, as prescribed by company.
  • Works cohesively with BOH team and Chefs.
  • Work with other departments to execute events and private parties.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the venue, company, and the hotel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Nightlife or Restaurant Manager or similar role
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Must be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
  • Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and venue safety and security
  • Must have current CA Food Handler Card and RBS Certification
  • Microsoft Suite skills preferred
  • Strong experience working with MICROS
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to stand or sit and exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours in length
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
  • Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, twist, reach over/under, climb, and lift 50 lbs. regularly to fulfill tasks
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks
  • Must be able to grasp, stand, walk, perform repetitive motions, and bend throughout each shift
