Position Summary

The Liquor Store Team Member is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all state and local alcohol regulations. This role supports daily store operations including sales transactions, stocking, cleanliness, and loss prevention in a fast-paced retail environment.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
  • Assist customers with product selection, recommendations, and pricing
  • Verify valid ID and ensure legal alcohol sales at all times
  • Handle customer questions, concerns, and returns professionally


Sales & Cash Handling

  • Accurately operate POS system and handle cash, credit, and digital payments
  • Follow proper cash-handling and register-balancing procedures
  • Promote specials, new products, and store promotions when appropriate


Store Operations

  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; rotate inventory and check expiration dates
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floor
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing back-stock
  • Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned


Compliance & Safety

  • Strictly follow all alcohol sales laws and company policies
