Job description

Provide excellent customer service to all customers! The associate is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to weather conditions.

• Uses care in handling products.

• Follows security procedures.
• Fills the shelves and rotate items if necessary.
• Picks up floor, clears carts, cleans and stocks registers, fills bag stations.
• Brings in carts from the parking lot.
• Performs night maintenance duties as directed.
• Verifies information on check and if acceptable, enters and properly tenders check into register system.
• Properly handles, counts and enters food stamps, EBT into register system.
• Ensures coupons are valid and properly entered.
• Maintains a neat and organized till.
• Adheres to company policies on the handling and sales of liquor and tobacco.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by manager.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to treat each customer with respect and in a friendly manner. Ability to bag groceries properly.
Ability to accurately count back change.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed and scheduled. Patience skills in dealing with customers and other individuals. Knowledge of store layout.
