Hestan Napa is the first-of-its-kind Hestan brand destination where guests can immerse themselves in the full Hestan lifestyle: from award-winning cookware and luxury residential appliances to curated wines and unforgettable culinary experiences. We are seeking a welcoming and polished Greeter/Sales Associate to join our front-of-house team. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their visit with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. Position Summary

The Greeter/Sales Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences across multiple touchpoints, including the front desk, dining room, kitchen equipment showroom, and Hestan culinary wares department. This position requires a strong interest in cooking and wine, along with comprehensive knowledge of Hestan Napa’s policies, food and beverage offerings, the culinary wares, kitchen equipment, and service standards.
The Greeter/Sales Associate is responsible for managing restaurant reservation systems, processing orders via the Toast POS system, and handling sales transactions through the Shopify POS system. Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to learning the Hestan Napa product line are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of preparation methods, ingredients, portion sizes, culinary ware collections, and key selling points for kitchen equipment.
  • Be knowledgeable about the restaurant’s menu to answer guest inquiries and offer recommendations. Ensure accurate service of food items, including any required tableside preparation.
  • Understand the beverage menu and provide informed recommendations. Properly serve beverages, including opening, decanting, and pouring wine.
  • Operate the Toast Reservation System to audit, confirm, and manage guest reservations. Greet guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a welcoming experience.
  • Sales of Culinary Wares & Kitchen Equipment
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Hestan Napa’s product lines. Engage with guests to answer questions and recommend products.
  • Accurately process food and beverage orders through the Toast POS system. Ensure all items are entered into the system before service. Handle culinary ware and kitchen equipment transactions via the Shopify POS system.
  • Compliance with Liquor Regulations
  • Complete the A.B.C. Responsible Beverage Service Certification. Adhere strictly to all A.B.C. liquor laws, especially regarding service to minors and intoxicated individuals.
  • Obtain a California Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire.
  • Follow all guidelines outlined in the Hestan Napa Standards of Service Manual.
  • Training & Meetings
  • Attend scheduled meetings, including wine seminars, product training sessions, and service improvement workshops.
  • Additional Duties
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing) and basic math.
  • Ability to stand for up to 6 hours, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a high-quality dinner house environment. Prior experience with POS and online reservation systems is required. Proven ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
