The Food and Beverage Associate plays a key role in delivering a memorable guest experience by providing attentive, efficient, and polished beverage and light food service throughout Red Lion Inn. Working closely with the bar and culinary teams, this position helps ensure seamless service in a lively, high-volume environment. Cocktail Server enhances guest satisfaction, drives beverage sales, and contributes to the gracious hospitality that defines our service culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
. Serve guests, provide excellent communication, and demonstrate an understanding of guest needs and special requests.
• Maintain keen awareness of guest perception and expectation throughout their food and beverage experience.
• Circulate continuously through assigned areas to anticipate guest needs and maintain smooth service flow.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu item ingredients.
• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of wine and liquor service.
• Mix ingredients to prepare the specialty porch cocktail.
• Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Stay alert to allergy modifications and communicate with the kitchen. Comply with allergy procedures.
• Act as a line of communication between the guest and kitchen.
• Complete all assigned side work duties.

Experience:
Prior front of the house restaurant experience of any kind is beneficial
Education:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities - Cocktail Server
  • Warmly greet guests, take accurate beverage and light food orders, and deliver items promptly and safely.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the hotel, its amenities, the local area, and upcoming events to provide thoughtful, personalized recommendations.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of beverage menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings.
  • Verify guest identification and strictly follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and follow company procedures to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Accurately process cash and credit card transactions using the POS system while maintaining accountability for all guest checks.
