Job Summary:
FUJIFILM Biotechnologies is seeking a Senior OSS Infrastructure Engineer to lead the day-to-day delivery and support of their Global Infrastructure. The role involves managing and supporting various infrastructure technologies, ensuring system security and compliance, and mentoring peers in a fast-growing IT department.
Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day support and availability of the FDB Global OSS Infrastructure, this includes but is not limited to build, configure, administer, and support infrastructure technologies and solutions. These technologies and solutions can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS), and open-source packages and solutions. They can also include virtual and cloud computing such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Perform cross-functional, multidisciplinary technical support and delivery of FDB global projects, Compile technology related documentation for GxP and critical IT technologies. Participate/lead in system validation and testing processes as required. Represent IT system in connection with audits and inspections
• Work with FDB technical architects to define and translate architectural designs into operational delivered solutions and services.
• Responsible for deploying new technology, systems and hardware ensuring that they integrate smoothly with existing systems and infrastructure. They ensure that all FDB polices, and procedures are followed and that all deployed systems meet the security frameworks in place. The are responsible for ensuring AIS metrics are defined and met prior to new system/service deployment
• Technical lead for capacity, support, and availability management of the FDB global IT platform, storage, and business continuity services
• Brief and advise senior IT management on technology support and availability needs, produce solution documents and reports to support this.
• Mentor peers and help build the IT/OT technical solutions within the organization on a global perspective, ensuring secure by design methodology.
• Perform cross-functional, multidisciplinary technical support to include evaluation and delivery of project work packages, design requirements, and associated procedures related to enterprise-level IT/OT systems.
• Operational lead into roadmaps and strategies for IT/OT architecture and security initiatives.
• Design systems characterized by medium/high levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity.
• Consult with system administrators, vendors, and other department personnel to provide guidance and technical direction for proposed enterprise technical solutions ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and vision statements.
• Responsible for the delivery of the FDB cyber security governance and policies on all IT/OT infrastructure systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8 yrs+ experience in an IT 3rd/ 4th line position with proven track record in an enterprise IT infrastructure environment, or 3+ years’ experience of working in a biomedical IT service environment.
• In depth design and support knowledge of Infrastructure technologies such as but not limited to RHEL, VMWare, Windows Server 2012-2022, Citrix, Hyperconverged, Ansible, Satellite, Debian.
• Experience with Backup/Replication Technologies such as Veeam.
• Strong experience building and managing enterprise Linux systems.
• Strong experience building and managing containerized platforms (e.g., docker, kubernetes).
• Experience with opensource projects and licenses.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong experience of infrastructure storage solutions including design, build and administration.
• In depth knowledge of Infrastructure security and associated frameworks such as ISO27000.
• Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and VPN.
• Solid business acumen and at-ease when engaging with senior leadership.
• In depth experience of scripting and automation technologies.
• Experience of tracking emerging IT issues, strategies, roadmaps, patterns, and technologies over time to assess opportunities to enhance service delivery.
• Adept at communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, and across organizations, using architecture communication techniques.
• Adept at gaining support from business and technical stakeholders for IT initiatives with low/medium levels of risk, impact, and complexity.
• Understanding of security regarding open-source technologies.
