Job Title: Senior Systems Support Engineer (Compute Infrastructure)

Location: Lubbock, TX(Hybrid)

Overview / Summary
Bring your senior systems and compute support experience into a hands-on infrastructure role supporting critical operations, server stability, virtualization, monitoring, and infrastructure reliability.

The Senior Systems Support Engineer will support server, systems, virtualization, cloud, and operational infrastructure needs. This role will help maintain stable compute environments, troubleshoot system issues, support monitoring, and coordinate with specialized teams for escalations and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L3 support for compute, systems, and server infrastructure.
  • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Citrix, or similar technologies.
  • Troubleshoot system performance, availability, and reliability issues.
  • Support cloud compute environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform where applicable.
  • Monitor systems and infrastructure performance.
  • Analyze metrics and support performance optimization efforts.
  • Coordinate with network, security, storage, backup, telecom, M365, and desktop teams.
  • Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and support records.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call escalation.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of systems engineering, compute support, or infrastructure operations experience.
  • Strong L3 compute or systems support experience.
  • Experience with VMware, Citrix, Windows Server, Linux, or similar platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting server, virtualization, and performance issues.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure reliability practices.
  • General understanding of network, storage, backup, and endpoint dependencies.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft, VMware, Linux, AWS, Azure, or related certifications.
