The role involves designing robust infrastructure architectures for Linux environments and optimizing operating system performance while collaborating with application and database teams to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Design robust infrastructure architectures for Linux environments including RHEL and OEL to support mission critical enterprise applications with high reliability and predictable performance
• Develop scalable AIX infrastructure solutions that align with organizational standards ensuring efficient utilization of compute storage and network resources for core business platforms
• Implement standardized system configurations for Linux and AIX servers to ensure consistent security hardening capacity planning and lifecycle management across multiple environments
• Optimize operating system performance by tuning kernel parameters managing resource allocations and refining system services to improve throughput and stability for production workloads
• Coordinate with application and database teams to define infrastructure requirements translating business needs into practical system designs that support future growth and technology evolution
• Establish monitoring baselines for Linux and AIX systems by configuring metrics alerts and dashboards that proactively identify incidents and enable rapid remediation before customer impact
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation including high level designs low level designs and operational runbooks to provide clarity for operations teams and ensure repeatable processes
• Drive incident and problem analysis for infrastructure issues by reviewing system logs conducting root cause reviews and recommending durable corrective actions that prevent recurring disruptions
