Your Contribution:
The Senior Systems Administrator is tasked with setting up and maintaining the computer systems that the LCCU uses. Their primary responsibility is ensuring these systems run smoothly and reliably, whether by changing existing systems or creating new ones based on the priorities established during regular project planning. As experts in their specialty areas, the Senior Systems Administrator also document and share technical knowledge with IT Support to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
As a vital member of the LCCU team, your responsibilities include the following:
  • Serves as a technical expert in system administration for full technology stack in multi-office network infrastructure.
  • Drive efforts to deploy new and optimize existing solutions, automate, create standards, and govern technologies, including but not limited to Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Group Policy, Identity Management, and our enterprise monitoring solution.
  • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
  • Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
  • Work with the technology team and LCCU business departments to understand how teams, employees or members will use technology and what programs, features, or platforms will serve them, to best assist with the evaluation and consideration of systems/hardware enhancements.
  • Manage, administrate, configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain the system's hardware and software and related infrastructure, providing support and management of the LCCU technology stack, including virtual servers, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, O365, Azure, backup, and enterprise disk storage systems and hardware.
  • Experience with enterprise ticketing solutions and have a working familiarity with Jira administration and management.
  • Contribute to the testing of business applications and technical infrastructure requirements.
  • Work directly with third parties as needed to ensure proper service levels are being maintained.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
  • Works closely with various internal departments, such as InfoSec, Risk, Project Management, and business teams, to ensure that the systems align with the organization's requirements.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; at least eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience working with complex IT infrastructures.
  • Minimum 5-years of senior-level system administration of Active Directory, Microsoft Servers, VMware Hypervisors and O365 in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management, Configuration Management, enterprise monitoring solutions, and ticketing solutions (JIRA).
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Server Systems.
  • Team player with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to travel to other locations throughout the state as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal team and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage time with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively and proactively.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently.
