Job Summary:
Network Security Systems Plus, Inc. is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to configure, integrate, and support internal network environments. The role involves maintaining platforms, troubleshooting systems, and collaborating with software developers and data teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Contribute to the maintenance of existing and future platforms
โ€ข Provide support to existing and future subscribers
โ€ข Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot the system and the infrastructure that supports it
โ€ข Routinely interact with software developers and data teams
โ€ข Provide input to develop performance/security management of the platform
โ€ข Perform limited property accountability functions
โ€ข Ability to communicate both written and orally to customers and team members
โ€ข Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข An active security clearance U.S. Citizenship
โ€ข Ability to secure and maintain an active DoD Security Clearance
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical, Software, Systems, Network, or Industrial Engineering; Computer Science, Information Technology or Assurance, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or other related Scientific/Technical discipline from an accredited University
โ€ข 10+ years working experience with systems administration on Linux, UNIX, ideally RHEL
โ€ข Experience with VMware
โ€ข Experience in scripting using BASH, CSH, PERL, Python, or other scripting languages
โ€ข Experience with basic networking
โ€ข Fundamental knowledge of cloud technologies
โ€ข Security + or DoD required certification or ability to obtain required certification
