Detailed JD

  • Manage and support Windows 10/11/Server and Linux servers (installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting) โ€“
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor VMware/Hyper-V and cloud-based systems (AWS).
  • Build, deploy, and maintain Docker/containerized applications and orchestrated environments (ECS/Kubernetes a plus).
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices, including hardening, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth software solution for end customers.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and application issues in hybrid environments.
  • Document infrastructure, deployments, and procedures.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux distributions (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, etc.) along with Wix.
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
  • Hands-on with Docker/containers; exposure to orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (network security, IAM, patching, vulnerability scanning). `
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
  • Background in regulated environments (medical devices, pharma, finance) and familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC 2, HIPAA)
