Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to support and modernize enterprise hybrid infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows/Linux administration, VMware virtualization, Active Directory, networking, storage, firewall management, and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role is responsible for maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure while supporting cloud migration, automation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Manage enterprise infrastructure including networking, storage, virtualization, and Active Directory.
  • Configure and maintain VMware virtual environments.
  • Support hybrid cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud networking, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Manage firewall configurations, including SonicWall and Palo Alto.
  • Administer Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies (GPOs).
  • Perform server upgrades, patching, system monitoring, and health checks.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar.
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Manage enterprise storage solutions including Isilon, Vblock, VxRail, Data Domain, and Avamar.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide timely technical support.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support infrastructure-related projects and cloud migration initiatives.
 Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization.
  • Experience managing hybrid environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms.
  • Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management.
  • Experience with networking, firewall administration, and enterprise storage.
  • Experience with SonicWall and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, Pulumi, etc.).
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing vendors and participating in infrastructure projects.

  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect
  • VMware VCP Certification

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices and enterprise documentation standards.
