Job Overview

We are seeking motivated Linux/UNIX Systems Engineers with 2–4 years of hands‑on experience supporting, administering, and maintaining Linux/UNIX environments. The ideal candidate should have experience working with modern infrastructure technologies, cloud platforms, automation tools, and DevOps practices. Candidates must be open to relocating anywhere within the United States based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Linux/UNIX servers.

  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, patching, and upgrades.

  • Support production and non-production Linux environments.

  • Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell, Bash, or Python scripting.

  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Manage virtualization technologies including VMware or Hyper-V.

  • Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, Networking, and Security teams.

  • Configure and maintain web servers, application servers, and file systems.

  • Monitor system health using enterprise monitoring tools.

  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and system optimization.

  • Follow security best practices and compliance standards.


Required Skills

  • 2–4 years of experience in Linux/UNIX System Administration.

  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE, or other UNIX/Linux distributions.

  • Experience with Shell/Bash scripting; Python is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Linux networking, storage, permissions, and file systems.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Git version control.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Splunk, or ELK.

  • Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, LPIC) are a plus.

  • Experience working in Agile environments.
