POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable IT professional to manage and support our small business IT infrastructure. This role blends server and network administration with hands-on desktop support. You will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver reliable assistance to end-users. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys handling diverse responsibilities.
This is a permanent position with a full-time schedule 7:30am - 4:00pm. Working FT 40 hours a week.
RESPONSIBILITES
Server & Network Administration:
Administer and monitor Windows and Linux servers, including setup, patching, and backups.
Manage Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions.
Configure and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
Maintain secure and reliable internet connectivity; implement VPN and firewall rules.
Desktop Support:
Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Resolve escalated technical issues promptly and effectively.
Install and update software, antivirus, and security patches.
Assist with employee onboarding/offboarding (hardware setup, account creation).
IT Operations:
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
Maintain accurate documentation for configurations and procedures.
Support cloud services (Microsoft 365) and basic VoIP systems.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and repairs.
Position Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 2-4 years in IT support with exposure to servers and networking.
Technical Skills:
Windows Server fundamentals, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP.
Networking basics (TCP/IP, VPN, firewall configuration).
Desktop OS (Windows/macOS) and common business applications.
Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MTA/MCSA, or equivalent.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
