We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide L2 production support for critical investment banking applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in database support, Unix/Linux environments, cloud technologies, monitoring tools, and ITIL-based support processes. The candidate will be responsible for application stability, incident resolution, production monitoring, automation support, and continuous service improvement.

Must Have Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with monitoring and operational tools:
    • Grafana
    • Splunk
    • Geneos
    • Ansible
    • Control-M
    • Terraform
    • GitHub / GitHub Actions
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide L2 production support for critical investment banking applications.
  • Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of production incidents.
  • Perform database analysis, SQL troubleshooting, and PL/SQL support activities.
  • Support Unix/Linux-based applications and perform system-level troubleshooting.
  • Work with cloud environments, primarily Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Handle ITIL processes including:
    • Incident Management
    • Service Request Management
    • Problem Management
    • Change Management
    • Continual Service Improvement (CSI)
  • Use monitoring tools to identify, analyze, and resolve application issues.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.
  • Support DevOps and automation initiatives.
  • Participate in production deployments, release activities, and operational improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for support procedures, incidents, and knowledge articles.
Required Qualifications
  • 8โ€“10 years of experience in Application Support / Production Support roles.
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise applications in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Good knowledge of Oracle databases and PL/SQL.
  • Strong Unix/Linux troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with GCP cloud environments.
  • Understanding of ITIL service management processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
