Job Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Engineer I in the IT field to join our growing technical team in Shreveport, United States. In this entry-level engineering role, you will provide essential technical support and field services to ensure our IT infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently. You'll work collaboratively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, and deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise while making a meaningful impact on our organization's technology operations.
  • Provide first-level technical support by performing basic and advanced troubleshooting, incident tracking, and problem resolution for IT hardware and software systems
  • Respond to IT alerts and support requests at the property and regional levels to restore critical systems and minimize downtime
  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain IT hardware and software across data centers, network closets, and end-user environments
  • Perform preventive and remedial maintenance on IT equipment, including hardware diagnostics, software updates, and system optimization
  • Analyze and resolve IT hardware and software problems efficiently and accurately while adhering to all safety and security protocols
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for end-users, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of workstations and peripherals
  • Document all work performed using the company's tracking and ticketing systems, ensuring accurate records and clear communication with team members
  • Participate in hardware and software deployment initiatives, including testing, installation, and user training
  • Assist in inventory management of IT assets and maintain accurate documentation of equipment and stock levels
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and IT Operations teams on complex technical issues and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Provide scheduled on-call support for after-hours technical emergencies and system restoration efforts
  • Support disaster recovery testing and participate in system upgrades and migrations as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned to support the organization's IT objectives

Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer and networking skills with fundamental knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and customer service orientation
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
  • Proficiency with IT support ticketing systems and documentation tools
  • Knowledge of basic hardware diagnostics and repair techniques
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to adhering to safety and security protocols

**Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • One to two years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or field engineering position
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification (or equivalent IT certifications)
  • Experience with operating systems including Windows and Linux
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and connectivity concepts
  • Experience with remote support tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory systems
  • Previous experience in a corporate or enterprise IT environment
